Back when I turned 26 (in June) I started to compile a list of 26 things I'd like to do before I turn 27. I had about 20 things planned... and then I got engaged. My whole year changed - budgets, time, priorities. A lot of the goals still apply, but some don't fit this year anymore. I've decided to throw out the '26 before 27' and start doing seasonal goals.
This fall I've chosen 8 goals that I want to accomplish and I feel like I CAN accomplish with everything else that's going on in my life.
1. Sell something that I've made by hand:
I just love to make stuff. I dream of someday selling my quilts and doo-dads for a living. What better time to start?
2. Spend more time with my niece & nephews:
Two nephews, one niece. All adorable.
3. Bake some of my favorite dishes frequently:
I love to bake! And I love to eat what I bake... but it's so messy I don't do it enough. It doesn't help that my oven runs a little cold either.
4. Make my Halloween costume:
Again, like every year, and I love to make them! But it would be so easy to just purchase it... and get it out of the way.
5. Take a trip with Cameron:
This will actually be happening sooner than I thought, we're going on a weekend trip for our anniversary on the 27th or September!
6. Read 12 "new to me" books:
I tend to do a lot of re-reading and not as much new reading.
7. Cook 10 "new to me" meals:
I can follow a recipe like it's nothing, but I tend to stick to what I know. I want to become a better cook, so I'll have to try some new stuff!
8. Love my life:
Just a general reminder that I really do love my life, my fiance, my family, our pets, my job, and even our rental house sometimes. It's easy not to think about this on a daily basis.
I'll try to document how well I keep up with all of this! Do you have any recipe or book suggestions for me? Have you made any recent short-term goals?
Sounds like you live a lovely life so number 8 looks like it will be an easy goal to achieve :)
